Pineapple Wind Sock
The symbol of Hospitality

In the days of the Clipper Ships sea Captains returning to New England from the South Pacific would spike a pineapple on their front gates to let visitors know they were home and accepting company.
Although the plantations have closed here on Molokai, pineapples are once more being produced; this time appliqued on a nylon windsock with rainbow tails.
